In April 2011 the theatre will open its doors with a new lease of life. Customers will be greeted with- a new modern contemporary bar, a welcoming new foyer and box office, decoration to the theatre and cloakrooms and a brand new lighting and sound system.

Known as the ‘friendly theatre’ The Civic has played host to some well known stars over the years including- Ken Dodd, Freddie Starr, Midge Ure, Bobby Davro and Joe Brown.

The theatre is available for hire to all businesses, amateur dramatic groups, charity organizations and voluntary groups.
